Team Academy

Developing high-performing teams

In today’s dynamic, high-pressure world, collaboration is no longer optional—it’s essential. As the pace of change accelerates, organizations must continuously adapt, innovate, and align. The ability to do so does not lie in strategies alone—it lies in the strength of your teams.

At 2xcl, we believe teams are the heartbeat of a purposeful and high-impact organization. But high performance doesn’t happen by chance. It requires direction, (e)motion, psychological safety, co-creation, and a deep sense of shared ownership. It requires people who care, take responsibility, and challenge each other bravely—not only to deliver, but to grow together.

Our Team Academy is built for organizations that want more than just collaboration—they want teams that:

  • Ignite growth and movement, not only in results, but in culture.

  • Take ownership of success and failure, learning and adapting together.

  • Have fun while achieving excellence, because energy fuels performance.

In a world filled with complexity, hybrid work, cross-functional collaboration, and fast-changing environments, it’s not just individuals that need to step up—it’s teams. We help you forge teams that embrace the human factor and turn it into a competitive edge.

We guide teams to become more connected, more courageous, and more capable—because when teams perform, the business transforms.

Session 1: Kick-Off – From Top-Down to Team-Driven. Theme: Embracing the SLAM! mindset

Introduce SLAM! compared to traditional models, define what Self-managed, Lean, Audacious, and Multidisciplinary mean in practice, and create a Team Purpose Canvas to capture shared ambitions.

→ Outcome: The team shifts to an ownership mindset, feels energized, and begins framing a purpose-driven mission.

Session 2: Work, Not Roles – Rethinking Contribution & Ownership. Theme: From static job titles to dynamic contribution

Explore the Skill/Will Matrix to clarify ownership and growth paths, apply DISC profiles to understand communication styles and team dynamics, and define evolving roles based on the work needed rather than fixed titles.

→ Outcome: The team gains clarity on “who does what and why” and moves to fluid, strength-based roles that improve collaboration.

Session 3: Leaning Into Simplicity – Smarter, Not Harder. Theme: Designing flow and eliminating waste

Identify bottlenecks, duplication, and complexity in current workflows, apply lean thinking to simplify team rhythms such as meetings, decisions, and priorities, and visualize work with Kanban or similar tools for greater transparency.

→ Outcome: Friction is reduced, leaner processes create more autonomy and clarity, and outcomes arrive faster.

Session 4: Psychological Safety & Audacity. Theme: Trust, truth, and boldness in action

Build psychological safety through intentional practice and honest reflection, practice brave feedback conversations using models like SBI and Radical Candor, and establish rituals for reflection, learning, and experimentation.

→ Outcome: A braver team emerges that gives honest feedback, faces challenges together, and acts with greater confidence and authenticity.

Session 5: Speak Up Without Blowing Up – Conflict & Nonviolent Communication. Theme: Turning tension into trust

Introduce Nonviolent Communication (Observations, Feelings, Needs, Requests), practice de-escalating tension and expressing needs constructively, and reframe conflict as a source of learning by mapping tensions into improvement experiments.

→ Outcome: The team handles tension with empathy, turns disagreement into stronger bonds and accountability, and collaborates maturely under pressure.

Session 6: Keep Evolving – Continuous Improvement through Design Thinking. Theme: Grow the system, don’t fix people

Adopt a mindset of iteration and learning loops, apply the five phases of design thinking to team challenges, and build lightweight rituals for regular reflection and renewal.

→ Outcome: Teams gain a shared process for continuous evolution, treat problems as prototypes, and embed curiosity, agility, and ownership into their rhythm.
